Q. How do we know you're the right photographer for us?
A. Solasta Photography couples are an amazing group! You'd be making a great choice if:
- photos are a top priority for your wedding day.
- You like color! my edits are true color, which means no desaturation or different skin tones. Just the day as it was with a "pop" of vibrancy!
- You want to look happy in your wedding photos and have fun taking them!
- You'd like some direction for your photos but don't want to be too "posed."
- you want a photographer who approaches your day with care, energy, and enthusiasm. I'll be your personal hype squad all day!
- dependability and communication are priorities for you. In 8 years, I've never missed a wedding but in case of a rare emergency, i have a solid backup plan to ensure your day is expertly covered without you having to lift a finger. I'm on top of communication and couples never have to wait long for a response. you can count on me to take excellent care of you!
Q. How far in advance of my wedding should I contact you?
A. I'm currently booking on average 12-15 months in advance. I recommend reaching out as soon as you book your venue!
Q. Can I print my own wedding and engagement photos?
A. Absolutely! Your wedding photography coverage includes an online gallery of your edited images that you can download. You can also order prints & products directly through your gallery, but you are not required to!
Q. How many photos will I get and how soon will I receive them?
A. For engagement sessions, you'll receive around 75-100 edited photos approximately 1 month after your session. For weddings, my turnaround time is within 3 months, and you receive around 75-100 edited photos per hour of coverage in your final gallery. I also provide sneak peeks of your session and wedding within 2-3 days on social media so you don't have to wait!
Q. Can you recommend other vendors like videographer & DJ?
A. Yes! After shooting over 150 weddings, I've worked with some incredible vendors. I can give you recommendations for videographers, DJs, florists, and more!
Q. How do you protect my images?
A. I shoot every wedding with a camera that has dual memory cards for backup. I also bring backup cameras and lenses. when I get home from every wedding, your raw images are immediately backed up on 2 separate external hard drives that are kept in a water/fireproof safe. one memory card is kept in a water/fireproof safe. Once your images are edited, they are uploaded in to your online gallery. I also keep a backup of your edited images on a separate external hard drive. Protecting your memories is so so important to me!
Q. How do I give you my wedding day details?
A. I send out a very detailed questionnaire roughly 3 months prior to your wedding date. Once you submit the questionnaire, I'll create a timeline for your approval that I send about one week before your wedding. We can then schedule a time to talk about all the details if you'd like! I help you every step of the way. You're also free to email me at any time with questions. I'm always available by email and respond to all questions within 3 business days!
